The supreme court’s decision appointing David Adeleke’s uncle Ademola Adeleke as the governor of Osun state prompted a response from the popularly known “Davido” singer from Nigeria.
As soon as the verdict was announced in court on Tuesday, Davido posted a brief message to his Instagram account with the caption “We go dey shock dem like high tension.”
Following a hotly contested election against the outgoing governor, Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC, on July 16, 2022, a five-person panel of the Supreme Court of Justice reinstated Ademola Adeleke of the PDP as governor of Osun state.
According to TheNewsGuru.com, the Osogbo electoral tribunal recently decided in favor of Oyetola’s decision to fire PDP Ademola Adeleke, who had only been in office for a short while.
Oyetola was proclaimed the winner of the election when the Justice Tertse Kume-led tribunal pronounced Ademola Adeleke’s victory invalid and overvoting the cause.
Governor, the decision was reversed at the Appeal court in March prior to the ruling from the Supreme Court on May 9.

The Assurance singer is also commemorating 12 years since the release of “Back When,” his first single.
